The Galaxy’s Ultimate Classic Rock Band: Waiting For Abduction

Waiting For Abduction

Waiting for Abduction is the culmination of years of faithfully watching the skies for aliens, having a great time, and playing a little rock-n-roll at the same time.  These extraterrestrials of performing have come together to form a powerful sound that stretches the gambit of the entire rock genre.  Their wildly varied song selection blends mainstream rock-n-roll with the classics of yesteryear and a taste of alternative into an evening of great music suitable for aliens of all ages.  A full-on guitar attack hits you full in the face from the opening notes of the first song to the powerful crescendo of the finale.  Waiting for Abduction stands ready with guitars in hand for the alien spaceship to return to Earth & take us all home.

Waiting for Abduction is fronted by Ray “Mr Smooth” Benites on lead vocals, guitar, harmonica & percussion.  Ray was the original lead singer for WFA & returns after a questionable jaunt thru the Beta Quadrant.  He brings hours, even minutes, of stage experience with him & is ready for another abduction experience.

“Super” Dave Barkin joins WFA after years of touring with the Phatty Acids from the Omega-3 galaxy. When not emitting vocal-like sounds and making other-worldly guitar noises, Dave enjoys several hobbies including time travel, with July 3074 being one of his favorite destinations. Dave’s exploits in the Delta Quadrant are now required reading at most major kindergarten programs throughout the galaxy.

Guitarist “The Professor” BT Morgan is the band’s resident “alien expert” due to his having been abducted 10 times to date.  The implants really don’t hurt anymore … much.  BT also likes to walk on tables and keep the audience guessing where he will appear next.  He also keeps his “thought-control” helmet close-by just in case !!!

Tim “The Technician” Burpo employs a variety of electronic gadgets on his drumkit that he expertly built in the basement of his four-story round brownstone located on the large continent of planet Cantanople the fourth planet of the 55 Cancri star system. He also enjoys a good holographic novel, a bottle of Rosso 659 & riding his Harley thru the back streets of Venus.

Mike “Wild Hoss” West anchors the middle like no other alien from any planet on bass guitar.  He credits the guitar he calls the “Ebony Assassin” with allowing him to reach his jamming potential.  Mike is a closet accordion player—just don’t mess with his squeeze bag ...

Dimitrius “Lackbeard” Samudio travelled from the far reaches of the Horsehead Nebula and landed on Earth with the Irving Symphony Orchestra.  This allowed him to infiltrate the humans on a higher, more cultured level.  They still have not realized the menace lurking in their midst.  Be afraid …

Suzi “Pirate Girl” Benites tickles the ivories better than any pirate in the Seven Constellations.  She was captured by Mr Smooth during his jaunt thru the Beta Quadrant on a rescue mission.  He was attempting to haul some keel, but she raised his Jolly Roger instead. Arrrrrrrrrr …….

Waiting for Abduction concentrates on playing songs you know and love in their own straightforward style.  They bring experience, creativity, and a huge dose of a good time to the stage.  Come experience this incredible group of alien-watchers roaming this small, blue-green planet on the outer rim of the Milky Way galaxy known as Earth.
